Finally, it is done! The “Network Complement Related Diseases” launches its large online presence. With the collaboration of more than 30 scientists, physicians, web designers, engineers and communication specialists, we were able to create a portal in the field of COMPLEMENT RELATED DISEASES in order to present severe medical facts and interactions in a coherent, reliable but still appealing way as well as to providing a platform for active communication

The founders of the NCRD portals have committed themselves to keep the platform constantly updated and to acquire a solid basement for scientifically substantiated improvement of the diagnostic and therapy of the Complement Relates Diseases.

The aim of the portal is the communication between patients (and their relatives, friends etc) on one hand, between patients and their physicians and health professionals on the other hand and last but not least among the physicians and health professionals. With support of the scientific community the NCRD portal intends to update all contents with important information according to its clinical relevance and importance for the patients in their daily life, therapeutical and diagnostic strategies.

The portal offers different tools and modules for this communication as FORUM, CHAT, BLOGS etc. The portals also offers a FACEBOOK like community structure where individuals as well as groups can communicate in a very direct way, share experiences and exchange views. All basic medical information, research results as well as product information is public also the most important parts of the NCRD data base for complement related diseases.

» NCRD - KnowHow

In addition to all this public  information the NCRD portal provides a large extranet, dedicated to researchers, physicians, and healthcare professionals. This segment is reserved for the exchange of the scientific world with physicians and healthcare professions and might become a workspace for  researchers and experts working on new strategies, research, theories etc. From time to time these results will enter the public part as they have become common sense of the scientific community.

While the NCRD Extranet covers a wide range of complement related diseases the public part of the  portal is primarily dedicated to those complement related diseases where the complement approach has clinical relevance and where practical therapies are available.

Therefore NCRD concentrates for the time being on HAE and its clinical and pathogenetical variations and on Complement Deficiency related Diseases. NCRD presents leading projects in this field which will be displayed in the public part and which will invite everybody to participate actively in these projects as the HAE academy, the Quality of Life Survey etc. As clinical research shows proven results in terms of available therapies in other related fields, these diseases will be included into the public part and equivalent projects will be developed.

All information allocated by NCRD about “Complement Related Diseases” is solely thought for as educational intention. They should not be used for diagnostic or treatment purposes. Please contact your doctor for further detailed information!
